During 2008 and 2009 Impalloy Limited has invested heavily in fabrication facilities and casting.  We can now manufacture all moulds in house and will soon be able to 3d model moulds, inserts and anodes.  The foundry investment means that we can cast up to 70 tonnes day, in anodes as large as 4000kg in one go.  The entire process is controlled in one location, so lead times can be more closely forecast and controlled, this means that delivery dates are more predictable avoiding cost overruns.

C-Gard bracelet anodes are available in a variety of shapes and assembly methods.  The ends can be square or tapered, the latter ideal for vessel installation.  The anodes are supplied normally as two parts and then assembled at the point of use.  We have welded and bolted designs available and can also combine them with a hinge so that the anode is delivered as a complete unit.  Bolted anodes with a pocket to house the bolt can in combination with a tapered end provide an highly streamlined anode.  The insert can have a band internally mounted or it can be an external band design. 

The C-gard anode inside face is usually painted or lined with Neoprene, thicknesses are to clients specification.   This insulating layer then requires that electrical continuity to the pipeline is established.  This is done by using a weld tang protruding from the end of the anode, a copper continuity cable or a cone point set screw in an external band. 

Testing of C-Gard anodes involves the usual dimensional checks, along with fit up tests on a pipe sample prepared for the purpose in house or customer supplied.  Our fabrication shop is equipped with band saws that can be used to section anodes for void analysis and insert positioning.  Electrochemical capacity, resistance and voltages can be performed to DNV RP B401, 4 or 14 day, as required.   Every melt is analysed for chemical composition both before and after casting.  Each anode is identified and marked to enable full traceability.

We can manufacture C-Gard anodes to customers designs or modify one of our standards designs to suit your requirements.  Our insert designs have evolved into systems that maximise late life performance, whilst minimising alloy weights.  These features combined with long experience in working to offshore standards, in documention, manufacture, testing and certification documentation makes Impalloy limited a must have partner for your project.
